My mission is simple.
I want to make science and rationality easily accessible to everyone across the country.
Hi, my name's Pranav and Science is Dope is my brainchild.
Right now the only exposure most people have to science is through academics, where what most people want is often just the end result - which is just marks. Why is this a problem, you might ask? That leads to people who learn science not because they want to, but because they have to. That leads to them not learning the parts of science that won't score their marks. Parts like rational and scientific thinking.
And India is a country that desperately needs rational and scientific thinking. Call me ambitious but I wanna rid the country of pseudoscience.
I want to make videos that sort out the rational from the irrational, the evidence-based from the imagined, and the real from the fake. I also wanna arm people with a way of thinking rationally and scientifically about things and falling into pseudoscientific scams.
And I wanna do all this through interesting and entertaining stories and videos where you won’t even realize you’re learning things.
I eventually want to take this same mission to multiple channels covering different genres that come under science and rationality (oh, there are many!) and multiple languages (one of my top requests).
